MA Design – Fashion
MA Design – Fashion course gives creative fashion design practitioners chance to explore personal interests at postgraduate level, underpinned by extensive research, and combined with benefits of debate and peer review. The individual will subsequently be able to view their role as fashion designer within the industry of the future.
Teaching involves a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorials, presentations and integration of consultancy with industry, and assessment is continuous. Theory underpinning practice is developed simultaneously throughout each semester and Negotiated Agreements Parts I and II allow students to acquire the ability to develop and refine proposals, which underpin their major projects, and reflect on personal progress. Students are expected to contextualise their work within a current framework, and develop evaluative skills in order to articulate their point of view. Research Methods and Application introduces students to a range of analytical research tools, forming the basis for all in-depth self-directed projects on the programme.

Timing for Animation (40 credits)
Δεδομένου ότι το MA Animation θα δέχεται φοιτητές τόσο με όσο και χωρίς προηγούμενη εμπειρία animation, αυτή η πρώτη ενότητα θα είναι αρκετά ευέλικτη είτε για να παρέχει ένα αρχικό πλαίσιο από το οποίο θα αναπτυχθεί η κατανόηση των θεμελιωδών αρχών του animation είτε για να παρέχει το χώρο για αναθεώρηση, δημιουργία και ανάπτυξη εξειδίκευσης. Ως εκ τούτου, το περιεχόμενο έχει σχεδιαστεί για να περιέχει μια βασική εισαγωγή στα βασικά στοιχεία της κίνησης και των πρακτικών παραγωγής στούντιο, η οποία μπορεί να επιχειρηθεί είτε σε βασικό, ενδιάμεσο ή προχωρημένο επίπεδο.
Experimental Design (20 credits)
Αυτή η ενότητα εξετάζει τη σημασία του σταδίου προεπισκόπησης του animation pipeline και παρέχει στους φοιτητές τις ευκαιρίες και το χώρο να πειραματιστούν, να δοκιμάσουν και να αναπτύξουν τις απαιτούμενες δεξιότητες και γνώσεις για να χτίσουν τα θεμέλια των έργων τους. Θα ενθαρρυνθούν να εξερευνήσουν διαφορετικά πιθανά μονοπάτια και να σχεδιάσουν στρατηγικές για την επίλυση προβλημάτων και να μεταφράσουν αφηρημένες έννοιες σε ένα οπτικό μέσο που καθορίζει τη σκοπιμότητα ενός έργου, το χρονοδιάγραμμά του, καθώς και το στυλ τέχνης του.
2ο εξάμηνο
Design Research and Development (20 credits)
Οι φοιτητές ολοκληρώνουν αυτή την ενότητα έχοντας αποκτήσει μια σαφή κατανόηση του τρόπου διεξαγωγής μιας έρευνας σε μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο. Παρουσιάζοντάς τους διαφορετικές μεθόδους έρευνας σχετικές με το θέμα και το ερευνητικό τους ερώτημα, θα επεκτείνουν τις γνώσεις τους σε εξειδικευμένους τομείς μέσω του αυτο-κατευθυνόμενου ερευνητικού τους έργου.
Animation Production (40 credits)
Αυτή η ενότητα θα επιτρέψει στους φοιτητές να εδραιώσουν τις δεξιότητές τους στο animation σε ένα ημι-επαγγελματικό πλαίσιο. Η παρουσία εξωτερικών projects δημιουργεί μια κατάσταση όπου οι φοιτητές ενεργούν ως πάροχοι δημιουργικού περιεχομένου ενός πελάτη. Θα βιώσουν και θα αναπτύξουν την ικανότητα να εργάζονται ομαδικά για έναν δημιουργικό στόχο. Θα ολοκληρώσουν επίσης ένα ατομικό έργο ανάπτυξης που θα επιδεικνύει την κατανόησή τους για την πρακτική, την παραγωγή και τους αγωγούς παραγωγής εικόνας. Αυτή η ενότητα δίνει μια στοχευμένη εικόνα για τις ανάγκες της βιομηχανίας του animation.
3ο εξάμηνο
Portfolio Project (60 credits)
Ο σκοπός αυτής της ενότητας είναι να δώσει τη δυνατότητα στον φοιτητή να εδραιώσει και να επιδείξει τις γνώσεις και τις δεξιότητες που έχουν αποκτηθεί μέσω του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος. Είναι επομένως ένα ανοιχτό brief που θα επιτρέψει στον καθένα να προετοιμαστεί για τον κόσμο της εργασίας. Θα υπάρχει σημαντικός χρόνος αφιερωμένος σε σεμινάρια και tutorials για να επιτρέψει στον φοιτητή να λάβει στοχευμένο feedback και να αναπτύξει την πρακτική του. Στο τέλος γίνεται παρουσίαση τη δουλειά τους και θα πρέπει να επιδείξουν επαγγελματικού επιπέδου εργασία.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is 100% coursework and you will be continually assessed throughout the course.
The course is continually assessed through module requirements, allowing students to achieve target awards. Final modules are graded Pass, Merit, Distinction.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The MA will help further career opportunities within commercial design practice – giving recognition to each student’s individual practical and intellectual abilities. Graduates will improve their chance of employment in the advertising industry with their demonstrated enhanced specialism and understanding developed on the course.
HOW TO APPLY
You should apply direct to the AAS College. We accept applications throughout the year, but advise you to apply early. We would like to receive application forms before 30th of August.
All candidates are required to submit the following documents:
1. A Fully Completed Application
AAS Application Form completed
A scanned copy of your passport
2. Diploma of previous education
University Degree (Bachelor’s or/and MA) from a recognised University and the relevant transcripts.
3. English language certificate
Certified Photocopy of English Language qualification(s).
Undergraduate applicants must have a fluent command of the English language which can be proven via the following examinations:
TOEFL: paper based 575 / computer based 232 / Internet based 89-90 or
IELTS: 6,5 or other equivalent qualifications.
Candidates who have not acquired an English language qualification at the time of the submission of their application form are required to submit it at least one month before the commencement of the course.
4. Portfolio
You can send us approximately 20 examples of your work with a short written commentary. Most of this work
can be in the form of photographs on a CD or a PDF file. It is helpful for us to see examples of your original
drawings too.

You will receive an unconditional offer: An Admission Letter by college’s Admissions Office, or a conditional offer: that means that before the commencing of your course you have to submit some documents, or a rejection letter: that means that you don’t cover the requirements of the interested course.
Visa Process
The following documents to be submitted by all non-EU students to the Greek Embassy or Consulate Office closer to you:
- Application form for a visa for a long stay in Greece, fully filled in and signed by the applicant
- One recent passport-size photograph in colour
- Passport that should be of a validity exceeding by three months the ending date of the visa length, include at least two blank pages and have been issued within the previous ten years
- Police Clearance Certificate (Criminal record)
- Medical Certificate
- Travel insurance
- Admission letter by AAS
- A confirmation document by AAS that you are a college’s student
- Document by the Ministry of Education that the AAS College holds a valid license and is registered in the relevant records
- English language Certificate
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses and AAS tuition fees in Greece
- Visa fee
You should also have in mind the following:
- Original documents and passports submitted must be accompanied along with a copy.
- All documents submitted must be in English or Greek
- You may be asked for additional documents and will be called to a personal interview at the Embassy or Consulate Office (the requirements of Greek Embassies or Consulate Offices aren’t the same from country to country)
- The visa fee is not refunded if the visa is refused
